Senior Pastor

Reverend Ambrose F. Carroll, was 20 years old and in his junior year of college at Florida Memorial University when he acknowledged his calling to the gospel ministry.  In 1989, at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Oakland, CA, under the leadership of Rev. Dennis A. Meredith; Rev. Carroll preached his first sermon entitled "Looking for Life in all the Wrong Places" Ecclesiastes:1-14.  While he was away in school, he began his ministerial training under Bishop Victor T. Curry, of the New Birth Baptist Church in Miami, Florida.  It was there he began to construct a Holistic ministry model intended not only to bring people to salvation, but to encourage and mobilize communities to positive action. After completing his matriculation at Florida Memorial College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1991, Rev. Carroll enrolled in the Master of Divinity Program at the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia, in aspirations of receiving the same seminary training that his late father, Rev. Benjamin Carroll, Sr. received.  In 1999, Rev. Carroll furthered his educational training by earning the Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.  His Dissertation entitled: "Spiritual Development among Inner-City African American Youth" is a guidepost for any Youth Ministry in the Urban Environment.  Understanding the administrative needs of the church of the millennium, Rev. Carroll secured a Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA in July of 2004.

Rev. Carroll's professional experience includes but is not limited to serving as the Senior Chaplain for the San Francisco Sheriffs Department, as well as a Staff Chaplain for the California Pacific Medical Center Institute for Health and Healing, which is one of the countries premiere Holistic Medicine Centers combining Western medicines with Eastern and Indigenous modalities.  Rev. Carroll has also founded several non-profit organizations and is a co-founder along with his siblings of the Carroll Ministries International. A gifted pulpiteer, Rev. Carroll has been featured in the winter addition of the African American Pulpit; the title of his published sermon-"Lord Make Us One" from Exodus 11.

From his many years of learning under America's most profound pastors and professors-ordained in 1994 by the Beth Eden Baptist Church of Oakland, CA, under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Gillette O. James, and subsequently serving for seven years as Youth Pastor at the historic Third Baptist Church of San Francisco, CA, with Rev. Dr. Amos C. Brown.-  Rev. Carroll has been effective in guiding others into God's purpose in spaces and places where many have left forgotten.  He has proclaimed his purpose to minister the word of God and has prepared himself through extensive education and practical experience to directly address the issues of self-destruction and spiritual corruption that haunts our urban communities.

Rev. Carroll believes that the world is in the midst of one of the most fascinating paradigm shifts that we have ever endured.  Although the economy is under distress and although there is a great since of fear and anxiousness, he believes that humanity is turning back to her first responsibility of being stewards of the earth.  He believes that a renewal of the spirit will aid us as we attempt to bring forward a renewal of God's Green Earth to the glory of God!  Through humble and diligent service, Rev. Carroll is giving a new face to the Church community and alternative roads for misguided men, struggling women, disconnected youth and misplaced young adults.

Reverend Ambrose F. Carroll, Sr. is married to the former Ms. Katresa M. Williams & they have two children, Amber Marie and Ambrose Frederick Jr.
